Dr Nives Frleta-Ilić is a specialist in oncology and radiotherapy, and the area in which she particularly stands out is breast ultrasound and everything clinically and diagnostically related to breast pathology. With 34 years of oncological experience, Dr Nives Frleta-Ilić is particularly focused on the diagnosis and monitoring of breast changes. She performs breast ultrasound thoroughly and precisely, while clearly guiding the patient through the findings and the recommendation of further steps. Her work is based on the timely recognition of changes such as cysts, fibroadenomas and other breast changes, with a sense of safety and understanding throughout the examination.

In 2000 she completed an international course on the sentinel lymph node in breast cancer and melanoma under the guidance of Prof. Veronesi at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, Italy
In 2004 she successfully completed an international course in breast ultrasound under the guidance of Prof. Drinković and a postgraduate study in mammography and breast ultrasound under the guidance of Prof.
She has actively participated in many national and international professional conferences and congresses on the topic of oncological diagnostics and treatment. She has published several scientific papers in relevant professional domestic and foreign journals

Breast ultrasound

During a breast ultrasound examination she focuses on a detailed assessment of the breast tissue and the axilla, especially in younger patients, in the case of symptoms or as a supplement to other tests. She clearly explains the findings, with a recommendation for further action.
