Clinical Embryologist
Lucija Romac, B.Sc. in Biology, is a clinical embryologist who at the Cito Polyclinic takes part in the entire laboratory part of medically assisted reproduction. Her goal is that every step — from the processing of egg cells and sperm to embryo development — is carried out precisely, in a controlled manner and in line with the highest quality standards.
In her work she combines laboratory excellence with clear communication: she clearly explains to couples what individual findings mean (e.g. the number of mature egg cells, fertilisation, the dynamics of embryo development, the criteria for transfer or freezing) and what the realistic options are in the next step. She pays particular attention to the details that make a difference — stable culture conditions, the correct choice of fertilisation method (IVF/ICSI) and the optimal planning of cryostorage and FET.
Her goal is for couples to feel a sense of clarity and trust — because behind every embryo there is a story, an expectation and an emotion that deserve the utmost expertise and attention.

She monitors embryo development and takes part in assessing quality criteria, with a clear explanation of what individual findings mean and how they affect the decision on transfer or freezing.
She takes part in embryo vitrification procedures and in organising a safe „path” to transfer in a natural or hormonally prepared cycle, with team coordination and clear instructions for the couple.
